Make a fresh start

I started dating a non-christian who lived close to our town while I was in the tenth grade. That love lasted until I finished my engineering studies and began working. My parents learned about it later and objected a lot. I was badly beaten and tortured by them. He had great love for me. He assured me that he would look after me till the very end. Thus, I endured everything for him. But a few months ago, he came to me, gave me his wedding invitation, and said that his parents were pressuring him to wed a different girl. I was unable to get over this letdown. My heart was torn apart. I could not do any work. So I resigned from my job. I am dying inside every day. My parents began seeking a groom for me before I was able to escape this pain. Every proposal is postponed after they find out about my past relationship.
